Successful Peoples Thinking About Life
Successful
people make sacrifice in the present that pay off only years later. They look
beyond the obvious. They are guided by the intellect, are steady and focused.
In contrast unsuccessful peoples are more concerned with instant gratification.
They operate on whims and fancies, are myopic in outlook and are fickle and
unsteady. The first step to success, therefore, is to develop the intellect.
All leaders
had vision. For example M.K. Gandhi worked for truth and justice. Develop your
long-term vision. What do you want most in the next 20 years? How do you want
to spend rest of your life? Dream big. Work for world welfare. Remove
obstacles. Be open to suggestions. Desire is the greatest obstacle to obtaining
object of desire. Rise above desire by cultivating a higher desire. Expand your
mind.
Develop
qualities that will take you to your goal. Self-control is important in any
achievement. Think afresh, differently. Go back to basics. Question, enquire, and
reflect. Most importantly, look within. Spend time with yourself. Real long-term
vision comes when you understand everything in world is impermanent.
The pathway
to realization is simple-sincere action, pure heart and clear thinking. Having
fixed a higher goal, work towards it dedicatedly and whole-heartedly, yet
detachedly. You have no interest in the fruit of your action. This vision
catapults you to a different realm altogether. YOU ONLY HAVE TO WANT IT.
